About the role

WORK LOCATION: San Luis Obispo, CASALARY RANGE: $24 - $31FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt  SUMMARYPerforms basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, repair tasks, and documentation according to service, quality, and safety standards.  RESPONSIBILITIESThe following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.   
  • Follows standard operating procedures, installations, inspections, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
    •  Assists with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility.
    •    Works with or assists outside contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
    •   Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
    •    Assumes all other responsibilities as assigned.
    •    Updates and maintains all records pertaining to facilities and asset maintenance.
 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSThe following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position:  
  • High School Diploma
    •    2+ years’ experience with additional specialized training and/or certification
    •    Ability to lift 50 lbs
    •    Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities.
    •    Demonstrates ability to take initiative and think proactively.
    •    Ability to problem solve and communicate across all levels of the organization.
    •    Honest, trustworthy, reliable, respectful
    •    Good organization and time management skills
    •    Ability to operate scissor lift and forklift and maintain certification.
    •    Experience with Microsoft 365 and Asset Tiger a plus.

May require the ability to travel by air or auto.
