The Senior Global Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for managing global accounts payable and purchase order function for multiple companies to ensure that payments are processed accurately, timely and in accordance with policies. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, customer service focused, and detail oriented. The candidate will be able to independently research complicated issues and effectively communicate with external and internal parties.
Responsibilities
- Manage the accounts payable workflow on a day-to-day basis for all global companies.
- Manage the purchase order workflow on a day-to-day basis validating the invoice matching.
- Ensure invoices are coded in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Research, review and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating vendor profiles in the ERP.
- Perform IRS TIN matching for all new vendors.
- Timely and accurate preparation and processing of weekly vendor payment files.
- Validate and prepare annual 1099 filings for multiple US companies.
- Experience managing online payment processing.
- Research and reconcile vendor monthly statements for global companies.
- Strong understanding of controls to ensure no duplicate invoices or payments.
- Familiar with SOX compliance as it relates to accounts payable processes and controls.
- Assist with month-end accounts payable accruals.
- Assist with software implementation and special projects as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 years Full Cycle Accounts Payable experience
- Minimum 3-5 years experience with procurement
- 2-year associate’s degree in business administration or relevant field
- Knowledge of global payment formats
- Experience with multiple currency vendors
- Must be deadline driven, organized and detail oriented
- Able to demonstrate a high level of customer service skills, internally and externally
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
- MS Dynamics (D365) Finance and Operations experience is a plus
- French and/or German language skills a plus, but not required or adept at translation software
