The Role:

The Domestic Services Officer will:

• Clean specified areas within wards and other areas within the New Norfolk District Hospital (NNDH).
• Provide infection control cleaning as per Infection Control Policies and Procedures.
• Provide a catering support service in the preparation of food and delivery of patients’ meals.

The Domestic Service Officer will carry out duties in a safe and efficient manner whilst observing hospital procedures, policies and food safety plans.

The Team:

New Norfolk District Hospital (NNDH) provides inpatient services to the local community of Wulawali / New Norfolk and the people of Southern Lutruwita / Tasmania. New Norfolk is situated on the Derwent River, 35 kms from Hobart.  The 14-bed facility operates with a shared care model between the local Derwent Valley Medical Centre (DVMC) and the Tasmanian Health Service, Hospitals South (THS-HS).

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working 18 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $58,184 - $59,580 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
