Further information about Lear is available at lear.com, or follow us on Twitter @LearCorporation</p> <p><br/> Lear Corporation is looking for an Accounting Manager Europe &amp; Africa (m/f/d) to join our Controllers Office team.</p> <p>The Accounting Manager will be based in Oberding, the Munich Headquarters and works for all European &amp; African plants including Seating and E-Systems.</p> <p><br/> With more than 650 employees, the Lear Munich Headquarter, close to Munich Airport, is the Competence Centre for automotive seat development in Europe.<br/> In addition to members of the Controllers Office for Europe &amp; Africa, the Sales and Engineering teams, central functions, such as the Purchasing Division, division of JIT’s operations, the Seating Finance, Legal and Human Resources are also located here.</p> <p> </p> <p>About the role:</p> <p>Key objective will be Europe-wide and principally relate to accounting and internal control initiative across the region:</p> <ul> <li>Improve quality of US reporting through standardization of accounting regionally</li> <li>Development and delivery of guidance, communications and training materials for accounting hot topics and emerging issues</li> <li>Support Balance Sheet Reviews through quality reviews ahead of internal audit, external audit and reporting</li> <li>Support during the implementation phase of new plants and entities on accounting processes and ERP Systems</li> <li>Support SOX Monitoring process </li> <li>Ad hoc analyses and support, as required</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Your qualification:</p> <ul> <li>University graduate required, any degree</li> <li>Multi-year accounting experience is required, ideally combined with internal control background</li> <li>Preferably working experience from the Big 4</li> <li>Experience of providing accounting support on ERP implementation </li> <li>Open to 25% travel max</li> <li>Strong English language skills and German is advantageous</li> </ul>
