This position is responsible for managing a small manpower pool of field employees while also overseeing 2-4 workforce managers. This position will work to make sure current and future workforce needs are met along with developing improvements to current processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: A high school diploma or GED

Experience: 2-4 years progressive administrative/field experience in the Operations or Construction field

or

Education: An Associate's degree

Experience: 6 months-1 year progressive administrative/field experience in the Operations or Construction field

Travel: 20-30%

Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly Supervises 2-4 Workforce Managers.
  • Is involved in the hiring and selection process of new hires.
  • Meets with Operational Leaders on a scheduled weekly basis to review manpower needs.
  • Communicates with other internal manpower resources to review projected manpower.
  • Manages the planning, organizing, and staffing construction projects.
  • Mentors (leads, manages, coaches/mentors, supervises) other Workforce Managers.
  • Acts as a coach and developer of talent (coaching/mentoring); as well as ensures those individuals are skillfully trained.
  • Assists Workforce Manager(s) in mentoring of new employees, creates/maintains management relationships.
  • Improves the overall quality of field personnel by helping to keep certifications current, expanding licensing, and increasing awareness of training possibilities through frequent communications with field personnel.
  • Oversees the execution and completion of all employee performance evaluation processes. Promotes the merit shop philosophy by ensuring effective, fair, & timely performance evaluations for all field employees.
  • Partners with Talent Operations to optimize recruiting and selection, employee relations, and other related topics as it pertains to direct reports.
  • In collaboration with Field Recruitment Team, conducts presentations at high schools and technical schools; establishes relationships with area schools.
  • Visits various jobsites and interacts with crew and foremen to ensure proper job progress and to support and encourage safe behavior.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Actively participates in Faith’s hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.
