JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Test Planning and Vehicle Operations Division of the Undersea Systems Office (USO) at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) detachment at Keyport, Washington is looking for a highly motivated, proactive, self-starting Engineering Project Manager.  Candidates who desire to work in a growing area encompassing underwater test vehicle design, modification, maintenance, logistics, and field testing are encouraged to apply.   

In this role, you will be expected to work closely with the Program Managers, Portfolio Managers, Principle Investigators, and Design Engineers to deliver timely reporting requirements driven by stakeholders and sponsors need.  These professionally generated reports will require interfacing with internal systems used for fiscal accountability and budgetary generation.  You will be expected to assist in planning, budgeting, scheduling to include resource management, technical performance, and deliverables on current endeavors and proposals.  Additionally, management of vehicle run data, build documents, technical system and sub-system configuration will be integral to this position.

This job will be filled as a level 2.  Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2.

Work location is Keyport, Washington

Requirements include:

  • General experience with Microsoft applications
  • Proficiency with ProPricer, SIMBA, and Concur
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Active security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Related project management degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project
  • Experience with Visio
  • FFRDC or UARC experience
  • Prior experience working in a government or DoD facility
