Full-time opportunity as a Physician Assistant in Orthopaedics - Spine with one of the leading health care providers in North Carolina as part of a multispecialty clinic that includes more than 50 physicians, 50 advanced practice providers, and over 400 support staff. Potential annual compensation is in the top 3% for North Carolina.

Opportunity Highlights

• Well-established Orthopaedic program consists of 17 Physicians and 19 Advanced Practice Providers
• Independent clinic for each Physician Assistant with physician support to ensure success
• Physician Assistant position is 1 of 4 Advanced Practice Providers supervised by Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon
• Opportunity to practice in local satellite locations
• Home Call/Phone Call coverage is rotational 1:15
• Mix of operating room and clinic duties
• Operating room time is at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital which has received the Outstanding Patient Experience Award by Healthgrades for the past 16 years placing the hospital in the top 5% in the nation and the Surgery Center of Pinehurst, outpatient facility
• Breaking ground on a dedicated Pinehurst Surgical Clinic Orthopaedic outpatient surgery center in the last quarter of 2024

Qualifications/Position Requirements

• 1-2 years of Orthopaedic/Neuroscience experience preferred but not required
• Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program
• Certification from the American Academy of Physician Assistants
• North Carolina Physician Assistant license required
• Perform initial patient examinations and treatment recommendations
• Operating room first assist experience preferred
• Experience with recording patient history and detailed visit notes accurately 
• Proficient time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Responsive to addressing patient calls and concerns with assistance of clinical staff
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
