Cybersecurity Engineer

In this hands-on technical Cyber role, you'll work on enabling and securing containers runtimes and images, as well as serverless services like Fargate and Lambda. As part of the Cyber team, you will implement and support API integration between the containers and images platform and other internal tools, like Jenkins and Artifactory. In addition, you will create logics to support the ingestion and enrichment of vulnerability and compliance data into vulnerability data management platforms. You'll bring solid experience in emerging technologies such as: AWS (Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB), CICD (Jenkins), Docker, Kubernetes, and Fargate.

 

The platform will facilitate and drive remediation and fix for vulnerabilities and failed compliance controls. You will be part of the Cyber team with a focus on serverless security and the expansion of the program across Capital One.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification

• At least 2 years of experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

• At least 2 years of experience with containers and images security management

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree

• 3+ years of experience with Qualys, AquaSec, Sysdig, Prisma or similar platform

• 3+ years of experience with containers runtimes (Docker, Kubernetes, Fargate)

• 3+ years of experience with serverless architecture

• 3+ years of experience using Terraform or AWS Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB

• 3+ years of network or OS administrative experience

• 2+ years of experience with Python

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $138,500 - $158,100 for Sr. Assoc, Cyber Technical

San Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site): $146,700 - $167,500 for Sr. Assoc, Cyber Technical

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
