Position Purpose

St. Anne Catholic School is seeking a dependable and motivated School Cook who will be responsible for preparing and serving both nutritious and appealing meals for our students while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepping meals by dating, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to approved recipes.
• Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch and CACFP meal items in compliance with school nutrition guidelines.
• Check ingredients and food products for freshness and quality.
• Deliver Grab & Go breakfasts to classrooms, if applicable.
• Complete daily production records, including:
  • Quantities prepared
  • Quantities leftover
  • Record temperatures for both Breakfast and Lunch
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace.
• Clean and sanitize all equipment daily, weekly, and monthly as scheduled.
• Take out kitchen trash daily.
• Sweep and mop floors daily.
• Vacuum and perform deep cleaning duties weekly, including cleaning the dipper well and other assigned areas.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• Basic math skills for preparing, measuring and portioning.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to follow directions and standardized recipes.

Physical and Mental Demands / Work Environment

• Requires standing for extended periods of time.
• Frequent bending, lifting, and carrying (including heavy items).
• Ability to work in a warm kitchen environment.
• Must follow all health and safety guidelines.

Experience

• Two (2) years of kitchen production and/or food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Training classes and required continuing education hours will be provided and are mandatory.

• Approximately 30�35 hours per week
• August � May (school year position)
