Cost Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our accounting team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing manufacturing costs, performing inventory valuation and reconciliation, monitoring work-in-process (WIP), and supporting financial decision-making through accurate cost analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile inventory and cost related accounts.
• Analyze and maintain work-in-process (WIP) accounting and cost tracking.
• Calculate and analyze overhead and absorption rates.
• Prepare detailed cost reports and support variance analysis.
• Prepare and present obsolete inventory to executives, engineering, and procurement teams.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support external and internal audits with cost-related documentation.
• Recommend process improvements.

Required Education & Preferred Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principals and practices. 
• Minimum 2 years of Cost Accounting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
