Job Description

The Director, Cardiac Clinical Consultant (CCC) is a trusted clinical resource position that will have corporate and field-based responsibilities to lead and manage the field-based CCC team identifying opportunities to create awareness of Heart Failure; and assures provision of  high impact patient disease and safety and management related education in coordination with the systems of care directors in the field.  As Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), CCCs leverage their clinical, presentation and communication expertise to educate customers in academic centers of excellence, integrated health systems and community practice centers to support the use of SQ furosemide as an approved therapeutic for CHF. The Director, CCC role is field-based, and most of the time is spent in the field, with oversight of CCC external, on label, cross-functional support of internal and external stakeholders.  Each CCC has a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree and has functioned as a registered nurse (RN) and/or an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) certification/license (NP, PA-C) and has provided direct patient care to Heart Failure patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages the team to ensure compliance and adherence to the requests and requirements of the team for our client.
• Cultivates clinical advocates to actively support the access of the SQI technology throughout health care systems and its appropriate use in care pathways
• Engage with HCPs, APNs, Pas and Clinical Pharmacists in the field to develop strong understanding of clinical decision paradigm for use of parenteral diuretic therapy to manage CHF in advanced stages
• Collect and share clinical insights and patient management experiences with internal partners and develop and support franchise strategy
• Understand and continuously assess the healthcare landscape
• Effective and efficient internal partner coordination with Market Access Team.
• Delivering disease education, trial awareness and outcomes & patient management education to support novel parenteral diuretic cornerstone therapy for decongestion in Heart Failure (HF) as indicated in the PI
• Present in-depth disease state and treatment education to support understanding of decongestion therapy, through in-person or virtual, 1:1 and group interactions
• Develop and maintain relationships with peer HCP thought leaders, and other Cardiovascular HCP stakeholders to develop therapeutic advocates within systems of care
• Creating awareness across Heart Failure continuum for multidisciplinary HCPs within regional systems of care
• Utilize analytics to develop CCC clinical education plans for HCP education.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of CCC clinical education engagements; respond and shift quickly to bridge any gaps, supporting new and ongoing educational needs
• Provide clinical support and presentations at professional society meetings (e.g.  AAHFN, ACNAP) and at meeting with Payers, and with C Suite decision makers within Systems of Care, as requested by Market Access Colleagues 

Qualifications

Education & Credentials

• BSN required; (advanced nursing degree strongly encouraged)  
• Current and Active nursing license

Experience Required

• Cardiovascular Clinical Experience (hospital or clinic setting 5 years minimum)
