Join our team as a Substitute Floater Food Service Worker/Cook and help make a difference in students’ lives by preparing and serving fresh, chef-crafted meals across multiple school districts. Every day brings something new — different kitchens, new faces, and the chance to make an impact wherever you’re needed most.

This position supports four school districts and requires flexibility to fill in for call-outs or short-term coverage. You’ll be part of a team of professionals dedicated to providing nutritious, high-quality meals in a safe and positive environment.

 

Essential Functions:

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and food safety standards

• Assist with setup, service, and cleanup of food service areas

• Follow portioning, presentation, and temperature guidelines

• Ensure condiments, utensils, and serving areas are properly stocked and organized

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and service area

• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and teamwork in all interactions

• Perform other duties as assigned by the leadership team

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Previous cooking experience required (school, restaurant, or institutional setting preferred)

• ServSafe Certification or valid Food Handler’s License required

• Food service or customer service experience preferred

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and make accurate change

• Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in different school environments

• Self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines

• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation requirements

• Must successfully pass a criminal background check
