Under supervision of the Animal Resources Manager in the Division of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DLAM), The SRA I will provide technical and paraveterinary services. Major duties include but are not limited to assisting in Breeding Colony Management and providing veterinary support services.Salary Range: $26.52 - $31.63/ hour

Required:- Knowledge of and ability to accurately follow all SOPs associated with a GLP study, including required study procedures and GLP documentation procedures
- Ability to use or learn full capability of word processing software, e-mail, spreadsheets, the internet and other computer programs
- Ability to work accurately and with detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Skill in writing clear and concise correspondence
- Ability to communicate professionally and courteously on the phone, in person and by e-mail to a variety of people
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with faculty and staff that have varying degrees of veterinary medical training
- Ability to complete tasks in an orderly and timely fashion
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field
- Ability to recognize and describe signs of clinical disease or injury in laboratory mice and rats
- Ability to effectively handle and restrain rats and mice
