What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki is looking for a Project Manager to join our Corporate Quality team in Canton, MI.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.  This position is hybrid.

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Audit Program Project Management: Track internal and external QMS audit schedules, coordinate with lead auditors to ensure timely documentation, and report on timing risks. Monitor and report on the closure of corrective actions, highlighting any risks to timely completion. Observing audits assists in pre-audit planning, research, document preparation, and closing corrective actions.
  • Process documentation Project Management: Ensure Quality BMS documentation is accessible and released in line with Yazaki North and Central America (YNCA) governance requirements. Ensure the accuracy of process documentation references, identify errors, and improve structure. Coordinate with documentation owners and stakeholders to create clear and concise content for easy translation into Spanish.
  • Cross-Functional Meeting Management: Manage and facilitate BMS meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare agendas as directed by meeting leads, coordinate availability of presentation material with presenters, record meeting outcomes, including decisions and actions required, and follow up to ensure action items are on track and report status to leads. Support a global team with communications and collaboration across Japan, Europe, China, India, Brazil, and YNCA regions.
  • BMS Communications Management: Create and maintain records of formal internal and external communications related to BMS and QMS, ensuring clarity for global stakeholders. Ensure communications are easily understandable, especially for non-native English speakers.
  • BMS Team Task Management: Track progress and support on-time completion of team tasks.

 

What you will bring to the table:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Lead QMS Auditor (IATF16949, AS9100D, ISO9001) or equivalent audit experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in Business Process Planning & Development, or Quality Management, or 1-3 years of experience in Business Management
  • Travel: up to 10%
  • Ability to resolve issues by applying creative thinking
  • Ability to think and act logically under pressure
  • Ability to resolve issues or propose resolutions to responsible parties
  • Must work independently and collaboratively
  • Key Competencies: active learning, analytical thinking and problem solving, customer orientation, results orientation and execution, initiative, and teamwork
