Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) Trauma Quality Specialist. In the role of RN Trauma Quality Specialist you will:
- Apply nursing critical thinking processes to evaluate patient care by conducting concurrent trauma patient care evaluation through EMR, abstraction and clinical rounds.
- Assist in the coordination of care and trauma performance improvement with other trauma service team members and accurately enters clinical data points into the trauma registry.
- Actively participate in the achievement of trauma service goals to maintain appropriate trauma center designation.
Qualifications
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Minimum Experience Requirements:
- Two years recent hospital based nursing experience
- Basic computer skills
- Membership to a related professional organization preferred (Society of Trauma Nurses, Emergency Nurses Association)
Education requirements:
- ADN required-Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Completion of the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) course from Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine upon hire or within 2 years of hire/transfer
- BSN preferred
License/Certification requirements:
- Current RN license for applicable state of employment, required
- BLS from the AHA required upon hire
- ACLS from the AHA required upon hire or within one year of hire/transfer
- TNCC required upon hire or within one year of hire/transfer date
- CSTR Registry Certification required upon hire or within 3 years of hire/transfer
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
**This is a .70 FTE. It is a Part Time benefited position. It will be 56 hours (8 hour days)/every two weeks. **

$43.25 - $77.57 / hour
