Night Manager

Job Summary:

Our Overnight manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of their hotel’s operations during the overnight hours when it’s normally closed to guests. You will ensure that everything is in order and ready for the next day, including making sure that supplies are stocked, equipment is functioning properly, and employees are performing their duties as expected.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all hotel guests have a pleasant and enjoyable stay by providing courteous and professional service
• Supervise the work of all night shift employees to ensure that all hotel procedures are being followed correctly
• Handle any guest complaints or problems that may arise during the night
• Make sure that all hotel areas are clean and well-maintained
• Ensure that all safety and security procedures are being followed
• Monitor the hotel’s alarm system and respond to any alarms that may go off
• Conduct regular room checks to ensure that all rooms are in good condition
• Keep track of all keys and make sure that they are properly accounted for
• Prepare a report at the end of each shift detailing any incidents that occurred during the night
• Coordinate with the day shift manager to ensure a smooth transition of duties
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the hotel management

Requirements

Skills, Experience Requirements:

• Proven experience as hotel night manager or similar role
• Excellent customer service skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• Problem-solving attitude
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Up-to-date with hotel industry trends
• Able to work holiday’s and weekends

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in hospitality management is a plus
