About the role

Are you ready for the next step in your career? We are looking for a Manager, Compensation & Benefits for our North America region to join Valmet’s Compensation and Benefits team.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources professional within Compensation & Benefits field looking to work for a global company. In this role you will be responsible for leading the compensation and benefits function for U.S., Canada and Mexico. You will manage a team of 3 direct reports. 

Responsibilities:

•    Develop, implement and administer global and country level compensation and benefits programs according to business needs and ensuring local regulatory requirements and compliance are met.
•    Implement Valmet Global Compensation & Benefits guidelines, processes, tools and projects in the region in co-operation with operational HR and business management to serve business needs.
•    Serve as the regional owner of job evaluation process, pay position analysis and pay range creation, ensuring local benefit programs are aligned with the market practice, are cost effective and fit for the business purpose.
•    Leads integration of compensation and benefits programs following M&A/integration deals or in setting up new operations.
•    Participates in global C&B process development as a member of the global C&B team, brings regional view and best practices to the attention of global C&B.
•    Provides process support, advice and training for operational HR in the region regarding all C&B processes
•    Prepares and distributes information on C&B policies to raise awareness and spread knowledge.

Expectations

To excel in this role, you must have solid understanding of total compensation practices and processes as well as benefits administration in the US. You should have strong analytical skills with the desire to support and work closely with our global team in developing and implementing competitive compensation & benefits package.  You should have a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or a related field, though a Master’s degree in a related discipline is highly desirable. Ideally, 10 years’ experience in HR field, including a prior experience for managing the Compensation and/or Benefits function, preferably in a global / centralized HR environment.
