Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a financial institution setting. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the location, remaining highly visible to help deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared to respond to situations with professionalism and composure. You will interact with employees, visitors, and clients, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to clients and staff.
• Follow all site-specific procedures and protocols, including those related to the handling and carrying of firearms.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Hold a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
