THE JOB:

The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International. As a Slot Assistant Shift Manager, you will be responsible for setting the stage for an excellent guest experience by supervising the slot service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing team members in the hospitality field.  By understanding our guest’s unique stories and needs, you will deliver WOW experiences that our guests will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

• Work with a diverse team of enthusiastic people in a FUN and fast-paced environment to achieve company goals
• Supervise the floor service team assisting in team member evaluations, scheduling, and executing strategies to increase profitability
• Use strategies to engage employees, foster a positive work environment, gather and resolve employee issues, and retain top performers
• Verify the accuracy of all documents and ensure that all procedures are adhered to
• Engage with guests by smiling and hearing their story as you assist them with any questions regarding their slot play all while providing an outstanding guest experience
• Ensure guest safety by following all proper casino administration policies and procedures
• Own the guest experience in any situation by using problem solving skills to WOW the guest

A GREAT CANDIDATE:

• Has a high energy, positive attitude, and likes to have fun while doing their best work
• Possess two or more years of experience managing team members in a casino environment, preferably in a slots or table games department
• Experience managing team members in a collective bargaining agreement
• Will be able to work any shift including weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Is a team player
• Is welcoming and engaging
• Can handle multiple tasks at one time
• Displays excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills
