About the role

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Core Platform Services organization at Stellantis, you will play a critical role in shaping the software foundations that power our next generation Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs). You will join a cross functional team of platform architects, software engineers, and system integrators who are collectively building the reusable, domain agnostic core services that support major product areas—including Automated Driving, Infotainment, Connectivity, and Body Systems.

In this role, you will directly influence our technical direction, help define scalable service oriented architectures, and ensure that platform capabilities are robust, future proof, and aligned with industry best practices. You will serve as a technical advisor by bringing insights on emerging technologies, process improvements, and solutions to engineering roadblocks.

Your work will accelerate development across multiple vehicle programs, enabling teams across Stellantis to build smarter, safer, and more connected customer experiences.

What You'll Do:

You will contribute both as a hands on technical expert and a strategic influencer. Your responsibilities include:

Lead & Guide:

  • Lead technical discussions and guide engineering teams toward strong architectural decisions.
  • Mentor developers and collaborate with cross functional partners across domains.
  • Provide clear technical direction to ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability of platform services.

Architect & Design:

  • Create system requirements, architecture definitions, and design documents for platform services aligned with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies that enhance the platform’s efficiency, performance, and reliability.
  • Ensure that platform services are reusable across diverse vehicle domains.
  • Help resolve technical blockers, architecture gaps, and system level issues across teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and accelerate development.

What You Bring:

You’ll be successful in this role if you bring both strong technical depth and the ability to collaborate across a fast moving, cross functional environment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience developing embedded software for real-time or distributed systems.
  • Hands-on software development experience using C/C++ and Java.
  • Experience developing software for MCUsSoCs, and working within RTOS environments (such as QNX) and /or Linux-based platforms.
  • Solid understanding of in-vehicle
