About the Team
The AP Curriculum and Assessment Team at College Board (110+ staff) collaborates with colleagues across all aspects of the AP Program to develop, manage, and deliver AP’s 40+ courses in a wide variety of subject areas. AP® is a rigorous academic program built on the commitment, passion, and hard work of students and educators from secondary schools and higher education. AP provides willing and academically prepared high school students with the opportunity to study and learn at the college level. AP’s content leads ensure that course curricula are aligned to higher education expectations and reflect the state of the art in the discipline, contribute to instructional resources and tools for teachers, and develop assessments that allow students in these courses to demonstrate their mastery of course content and skills.
About the Opportunity
As Senior Director, Advanced Placement, Curriculum and Assessment, Operational Effectiveness, you will play a critical leadership role within the Operations and Change Management team, a core function of the Advanced Placement (AP) Curriculum and Assessment division. In this position, you will partner with over 100 subject matter experts responsible for designing and evolving AP courses and exams, and collaborate across all AP divisions—including Instructional Design, Strategy, Delivery, Assessment Production, Outreach and Access, and Technology. You will set the vision for and lead the development of operational systems that drive clarity, consistency, and scalability across complex, high-volume workflows. By architecting integrated tools, resource models, and content systems, your work will directly enable more effective planning and delivery of AP courses and exams—ultimately supporting over 1 million students annually as they take more than 6 million AP Exams in pursuit of college-level learning and credit.

Architect Knowledge and Content Management Strategy for the AP Curriculum and Assessment Team:

Design and drive the vision for a comprehensive knowledge management system that ensures secure, centralized, and intuitive access to institutional knowledge across AP C&A.
Establish enterprise-aligned standards and frameworks for content capture, classification, and governance to ensure information is discoverable, reusable, and sustainable.
Champion a documentation culture by defining long-term strategies and structures for internal knowledge sharing in partnership with Professional Learning and Talent Development.
Set the strategic direction for a best-in-class process documentation model, embedding clarity, consistency, and workflow integration at scale.
Partner with senior subject matter leaders to define core operational workflows, identify system gaps, and steer the continuous refinement of foundational process assets.
