Hiring Now – Immediate need for new Manufacturing Team Members

 

American Building Supply (ABS), a subsidiary of Jeld Wen, and one of the leading manufacturers and wholesale suppliers of Doors, Windows and Door Hardware is currently seeking a Skilled Production Associate to join our talented team of door professionals.

 

JELD-WEN is one of the world’s largest door and window manufacturers, with more than 22,000 employees operating in 24 countries globally. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, JELD-WEN designs, produces and distributes an extensive range of interior and exterior doors, wood, vinyl and aluminum windows.

 

Successful candidate(s) may perform any of the following duties:

• Operate various, more complex, door manufacturing equipment
• Read and interpret order tags
• Ensure the material is produced to precise specifications
• Maintain quality standards
• Staging and preparing material for next stage of production
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety rules
• Other general plant/warehouse duties as needed

 

Special Requirements:

• Commercial machine operator experience
• Past experience in commercial woodworking (doors, millwork, cabinets, etc.)
• Past experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment
• General knowledge of building materials
• Can perform simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools
• Works well in a fast-paced, TEAM environment
• Good communication skills both verbal and written

 

Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
