The focus of this internship will be to assist team members with projects, process enhancements, and through peaks of transactional volume. The Staff Accounting Intern will be responsible for entry level accounting work to include:

• Processing of accounts payable transactions in USD and foreign currencies
• Reconciliation of various key general ledger accounts
• Preparation of journal entries to be recorded in the general ledger.
• Reviewing and approving purchase requisitions to ensure proper sales tax application.
• Other tasks and project work as assigned.

Internship Goals:

 

• Hands-on experience in transactional accounting with exposure to SAP and ARIBA systems
• Account reconciliations, inventory accounting, foreign currency, and sales tax. 

Internship Requirements:

 

Academic Year: Junior or Senior

Area of Study: Accounting

Preferred GPA: 3.2 or higher

Software Knowledge: Excel

Work Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm

Department: Finance

Compensation: $20/hour
