Your role in our team

As part of the bid development team, you will aid all aspects of the bid process including, but not limited to the following:

• Mentor junior applications engineers within the bid development team.
• Create concepts and manifests within the scope of customer requirements as outlined in their RFP within the timeframe given by our customers.
• Support bid development process from receipt of RFP to submission of proposal, including aiding the creation of RFQ packages for vendors and writing technical SOW for proposal.
• Demonstrate a strong expertise in material handling system design, equipment technology, and operational process.
• Lead design effort based on client’s request for the material handling system(s) using their data or working through their requirements to create system solutions solving client issues, enhancing processing efficiency and supporting end user requirements.
• Provide technical expertise during sales phase showcasing Körber’s capability to develop industry leading solutions and build trust with clients.
• Support multiple client projects with a range of $100K - $250M
• Conduct external meetings with clients as required.
• Conduct internal meetings with clients as required.
• Create / Utilize / Explain, Material Flow Calculator that develops the Basis of Design (BOD)
• Be a subject matter expert on various types of material handling equipment in the market to ensure the best possible solution.
• Work with client to create weighted Selection Criteria Matrix driving optimal solution selections for end users and Körber.
• Create Process Flow Diagrams
• Create Material Flow Diagrams
• Ensure mechanical system designs align with electrical control capabilities supporting solution requirements.
• Create Basis of Design
• Create Description of Operation
• Provide mechanical support for system and product simulation and emulation testing.
• After award, work with the assigned execution team and operations to successfully hand off the project.

 

Your profile

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
• You have a minimum of three (5) years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Knowledge and Responsibilities.
• You are familiar with our core customer’s specifications.
• You are proficient in automation layout and design with AutoCAD 2D and Navisworks.
• You have a working knowledge of 3D CAD modeling and drafting.
• You have a basic understanding of automation controls and an interest in cross-discipline responsibilities.
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• You have strong ability to document technical decisions with illustrations and clear verbal explanations.
• You have excellent analytical skills.
• You always strive for high quality output to exceed your customers’ expectations
• You are able to travel - 25%
