As a Principal Information Architect within the Financial Planning and Analytics Services (FPAS) team, you will drive innovation and efficiency in our data platforms. Your expertise will support the firm's forecasting and budgeting functions, ensuring optimal data utilization and governance.


As a Principal Information Architect Executive Director in the FPAS team, you will enhance our data architecture platforms, leveraging Databricks and Atlan. You will define data products, streamline processes, and collaborate across teams to achieve our target state architecture goals. Your role will inspire high-quality solutions and set industry standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data quality and entitlement best practices. Your advanced capabilities will drive best-in-class outcomes, leaving a positive mark on the industry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement strategies for data product development and rationalization across lines of business, ensuring alignment with FPAS objectives.
  • Develop and execute a catalog integration strategy using Atlan, focusing on metadata harvesting, lineage, glossary, and standards to enhance data governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data products are efficiently utilized and duplication is minimized.
  • Work closely with business teams to educate and support them in leveraging analytics from data products to achieve success.
  • Create complex and scalable data frameworks using Databricks and other modern cloud-based technologies.
  • Serve as the function’s go-to subject matter expert on data architecture, product rationalization, and catalog integration.
  • Mentor and coach junior architects and technologists in data product management and catalog integration best practices.
  • Champion the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure data products are aligned with business needs and comply with data governance policies.
  • Establish comprehensive data quality and entitlement best practices across multiple teams within FPAS.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in a hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Expertise in data architecture disciplines and programming languages.
  • Deep knowledge of data architecture, best practices, and industry trends, with a focus on data product management.
  • Advanced knowledge of application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in cloud technologies, particularly Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Experience with modern catalog tools and entitlement systems, such as Atlan and Immuta.
  • Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in data product management.
  • Experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and Executives.
  • Practical cloud-native experience, with a focus on data platforms and catalogs.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience with Databricks or Big data platforms.
  • Experience with Atlan or similar data catalog tools.
  • Familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, and analytics functions within financial services.
  • Exceptional leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Experience in defining and implementing data governance frameworks, including metadata management and data lineage.
  • Proven track record in establishing data quality and entitlement standards across diverse teams.
  • Experience in defining and managing data products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and efficient data utilization.
