Location: On-site at Service Advantage Partner Facility Role Type: Resident Automation Technician
🔍 Role OverviewAs a Digital Automation Technician, you’ll be the frontline expert supporting advanced robotic and workstation systems at a Partner site. You’ll perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of automation equipment — from bots to electro-mechanical systems — ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency. This role blends hands-on technical work with strategic system support, making you a key player in driving automation excellence.
🔧 Core ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair robotic and automation systems using mechanical, electrical, and software-based skills
Lead or coordinate technical efforts when required, providing second-level support to peers
Perform full-spectrum service tasks: diagnostics, inspection, installation, retrofits, and scheduled maintenance
Use CMMS tools to document service activities and track system performance
Collaborate with Partner Support teams to resolve issues during planned downtime
Maintain compliance with safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures
Stay current with product updates and complete technical training on assigned systems
🎓 QualificationsRequired:
Associate degree or equivalent experience/apprenticeship in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical fields
Strong knowledge of automation systems, electrical principles, and software-based controls
Technical proficiency in Linux, Java, XML, SQL, and database management
Ability to interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
Familiarity with CMMS platforms and industrial PC systems
Preferred:
Vocational or college degree focused on Robotics, Mechanical, or Electronics
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
High physical dexterity and comfort working in confined or elevated spaces

Methodical approach to problem-solving and diagnostics
Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

🏗 Working ConditionsWarehouse environment with variable lighting, temperature, and noise
Frequent use of hand/power tools; lifting up to 50 lbs; maneuvering equipment up to 400 lbs
Physical agility required: stooping, bending, squatting, kneeling, and ladder use
Variable shifts and overtime may be required
Occasional overnight travel for training or vendor support
