General Maintenance Worker

SUMMARY

Arcticom, LLC, a BSNC family of companies is currently seeking a qualified General Maintenance Worker for 29 Palms MCAGCC BOS Contract. This individual will support the 29 Palms MCAGCC BOS contract and provide basic day to day maintenance throughout the installation.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

·         Generator Maintenance

·         General maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as:

o    Painting - Carpentry - Plumbing - Masonry - Electrical Work - Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, lights - Use of plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings. - Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.

 

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO’s)

·         Two (2) years’ experience as a general maintenance worker or similar

·         High School Diploma or equivalent

·         Valid California Driver’s License

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

·         Basic knowledge of general maintenance (Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, etc)

·         Basic knowledge of troubleshooting

·         Good customer service, people skills

Preferred

·         Two Years Experience General Maintenance

·         DOD Contract Experience
