Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager
We are looking for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for driving strategy as it pertains to sourcing and contracting against the full book of business for one of BCD M&E’s global accounts. You will specialize in creating partnerships both within the client’s organization, but also across the industry.
A key trait is that you must possess is the ability to listen and design outcomes that are favorable to the business needs while having your finger on the pulse of the marketplace and upcoming trends.
This is a Senior Manager level role responsible for both operations and account management for a client-dedicated team. This role oversees other Sourcing Managers and works with both internal and external stakeholders.
Previous account management, operations management, and industry experience (corporate meetings and events) are required.
Your responsibilities
- Marketplace knowledge, trends, and the understanding of how to apply them.
- Creating and maintaining relationships with executives to understand their business drivers
- Develop, implement, train, and measure standard operating procedures in partnership with Senior Operations Manager to members of Subject Matter Expert team.
- Creating training and developing opportunities for teammates that allow them to flourish and grow their knowledge base
- Be proactive and anticipatory with operational trends and implement necessary changes in a timely manner.
- Meeting and exceeding customer expectation, when it comes to customer service levels, quality and productivity

You might also have
- 5+ years in a venue procurement, purchasing or venue sourcing role within the corporate meetings and events space.
- 5+ years of experience in account/client management.
- 3+ years of experience in managing a professional team
