If so, we're searching for a Senior Software Engineer to work with a team of other software engineers, network and systems engineers to design, implement, and deploy software which meet customer's requirements, scales easily, removes the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments. The Software Engineer participates and leads in architecture and design of various software components focused on creating applications that leverage technologies such as virtualization, micro services technologies. They work on technical assignments that are semi routine or greenfield in nature but recognizes that need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. They normally follow established procedures on routine work and require instructions only on new assignments. As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that meet business needs. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products, drive innovation, and continuously improve development processes.

Responsibilities:

Software Development:

  • Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs, ensuring compliance with best practices and standards.
  • Work with structured data formats including JSON and XML; understand and apply XSD and YAML where necessary.
  • Integrate and support systems using REST and related standards.
  • Collaborate on API documentation using Swagger.
  • Build and maintain message-driven, event driven architectures using Kafka.
  • Manage codebases and collaborate effectively using git, gitlab.
  • Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues in a timely manner.

Technical Leadership:

  • Collaborates with technical teams and uses system expertise to deliver technical solutions.
  • Continuously learns new technologies.

Technical Writing:

  • Writes documentation on how technology works. Contributes clear documentation for new code and systems used.
  • Documenting systems designs, presentations, and business requirements for consumption at the engineer level.

Technology Strategy:

  • Contributes to emerging technologies to deliver business goals.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of current technologies that support business goals. Possesses knowledge of system protocols, system operations, and data flows. Is aware of the benefits offered by modern technologies. Expected to independently develop a complete software stack. Understands the building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required to complete software and automation tasks. Independent study of current technologies is expected. Collaborates with system engineers to define system requirements and/or requirements for automation.

  • Presents new ideas which improve an existing system/process/service using new frameworks.
  • Express new perspectives based on independent study of the industry.
  • Review current company processes to highlight questions that may drive process refinement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • 6+ years technical engineering experienceJava & Spring Boot programming experience
  • Strong experience in building scalable, high performing REST APIs and micro services
  • Solid understanding of JSON and XML
  • Experience working with Kafka, JMS and Messaging
  • Use of Swagger for API documentation
  • Proficiency with Git version control and gitlab
  • Proficiency in CI/CD, deployment automation.
  • Experience in building test automation using Junit, Karate etc.
  • Experience with Postman for API testing and integration
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Previous experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience with databases (Oracle, MyS
