Ebury Europe Jurisdictions - Office based
This role can be based out of any of Ebury's European hubs and will require 5 days a week in the office.
Ebury Sports Finance is a specialised business unit within Ebury. It focuses on providing tailored financial services to the professional sports industry, including clubs, agents, and athletes who deal with complex international transactions. We are the strategic treasury partner for the world’s most elite sports entities.
The Opportunity
At Ebury Sports Finance, we don’t just move money; we fuel the global sports ecosystem. From players transfers to international media rights and M&A in sports, we provide the specialized treasury tools that keep the industry moving.
We are looking for a Key Account Director to lead our charge in expanding our footprint. This isn’t a role for a spectator. We need a commercially driven business developer who is able to deploy our sophisticated toolkit of FX, accounts, hedging, and specialized lending solutions designed specifically for the high-volatility world of sports.
What you’ll do
As a Key Account Director, you will be the face of Ebury in the sports world. You will be responsible for:
- Business Development: Hunting and securing new clients in the sports ecosystem, from clubs, associations, agencies and athletes
- Strategic Networking: Leveraging your existing C-level network to open doors and position Ebury as the premier financial partner in sports.
- Product Advocacy: Utilizing our tailored sports products to solve the treasury challenges of our clients.
- Consultative Selling: Navigating the specific financial cycles of sports and understanding seasonal cash flow, transfer windows, and the intricacies of sports treasury.
What you’ll need
- Industry Network: You bring a deep network within the sports ecosystem. We are specifically looking for a professional with established relationships at the C-Suite, Ownership, or Board level within major clubs, governing bodies, or agencies.
- Commercial Track Record: You have extensive experience in high-value, B2B commercial sales roles within the sports ecosystem. You are a "hunter" by nature, with a proven ability to manage long sales cycles and close complex deals.
- Financial & Treasury Acumen: While you don't need to be an accountant, you must have a feel for finance. You understand the mechanics of sports treasury. Communicative skills: You are as comfortable presenting in a boardroom as you are networking at a stadium. You can translate technical financial instruments into clear, strategic advantages for non-finance stakeholders.
- Sector Passion: You have a sophisticated understanding of the sports business landscape, including the regulatory and financial nuances of transfer windows, FFP/PSR, and international commercial rights.
Why Ebury Sports Finance?

- High Autonomy: We trust our experts. You’ll have the freedom to execute your strategy. Global Reach:
- Work within a truly international fintech that is redefining global trade and finance.
