The Role

Landsberg Orora Nashville, a division of Orora Packaging Solutions is seeking an experienced Warehouse Lead to join our team. In this role you will assist other coworkers, receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within our Warehouse environment

  • This position will report to the: Warehouse Manager
  • Location: Smyrna, TN
  • Travel Requirement:  0-10 % of Travel Required/Frequency
  • FLSA Status: Non-exempt

What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role

  • Determines which items to assemble to meet customer requirements.
  • Responds to co-worker questions and assist them with problems.
  • Responds to sales representatives' problems to ensure product is delivered as promised.
  • Reads order or shipping documentation to determine; Items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage, or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size,type, style. color or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials or other stock items and distributes items to production   workers or assembly line.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Performs inspection of incoming and outgoing materials or items received
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Uses computer to complete patentor needed to deliver product and maintain documentation
  • Drives forklift or vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
  • Inspects forklift for defects daily before use and reports any problems found to supervisor
  • Maintains inventory records to document transfer or delivery of materials
  • Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • 3-year related experience or training
  • Knowledge with SAP preferred 
     

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Lifting - Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling).
  • Carrying - Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands, or arms, or on the shoulder.
  • Sitting - Remaining in a normal seated position while driving from and to locations
  • Stooping - Bending the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist.
  • Handling - Seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with the hand or hands.
