About the role

The Compensation Project Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and implementing critical compensation initiatives across the organization. This role will primarily focus on designing and implementing robust job structures and comprehensive career ladders to support employee growth and development. The Compensation Project Manager will manage full-cycle compensation projects, from initial scoping and analysis to successful implementation and post-launch evaluation. A key aspect of this role involves collaborating with stakeholders across all levels of the system to develop and roll out innovative compensation programs.

Lead Full-Cycle Compensation Projects to include market reviews, development of Job Structures, and development of Career Ladders.
In partnership with stakeholders and leaders, plan, design, develop, and implement new or revised job structures and career ladders. This includes defining job levels, and competencies, and establishing clear progression paths.    40%
 

Conduct Compensation Analysis and Market Reviews by performing in-depth compensation analysis, including market benchmarking, pay equity reviews, and trend analysis, to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.    40%
 

Collaborate with HR Business Partners and department leaders to develop and update accurate and comprehensive job descriptions that align with established job structures and clearly define roles and responsibilities.    10%
 

Provide support for various compensation projects and inquiries, such as special reviews, data requests, offer recommendations, pay evaluations, and/or unexpected compensation-related needs.    10%

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or a higher level of education that would require the completion of high school, is required.  
  • Experience: 5+ years directly related experience in healthcare is required.

Education and/or Experience Preferred:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.

License and/or Certification Preferred:

  • PHR certification or Certified Compensation Professional certification preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of compensation principles and practices, with ability to operate with minimal inputs and make sound recommendations

Skills:

  • Skilled in analyzing and evaluating job content
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as research, analytical, evaluation, and negotiation skill
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems used in human resources applications.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and database skills including the development of spreadsheets and presentations

Abilities:

  • Able to provide exceptional customer service and support
