What you’ll do
The Specialist, Serial Planning Steering is responsible for a seamless production of the Scout Motors vehicle bodies. The Specialist will report to the Project Steering Manager.
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Serve as a key leader in the serial scheduling steering team
- Development and creation of a serial planning control strategy in coordination with adjacent departments (e.g. press shop, body shop, controlling, work and plant organization, IE & production system, production, construction infrastructure and product planning) in order to ensure, adapt and, if necessary, optimize the control of series planning with regard to organizational, financial and time goals
- Monitor and implement all key performance indicators and specifications of the various departments of serial planning.
- Development and control of serial planning control processes using new technologies and interdisciplinary communication to increase the overall quality of coordination, the associated cost reduction and to improve the overall effectiveness of series planning
- Maintain and create overall processes and workflows for all departments of serial planning as well as ensuring an internal and external "One Face to the Customer" strategy.
- Coordinate all valuation requests and drive the consolidation of the Serial Planning departments as well as ensure risk management and OKR processes in the Serial Planning.
- Management of the overall concept for risk management within series planning, preparation and safeguarding of organizational processes and model changes in series planning
- Develop Project Management Team according New Project / Serial Planning activities.
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance at in-person meetings and events. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- 3+ years of professional experience in automotive production, with expertise in achieving stable production processes and in-depth knowledge of project steering operations
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical, economics engineering, or related fields
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
