The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for leading the delivery of quality clinical services within an assigned agency (s). The DON will ensure training for all their Clinical Manager’s, and field clinicians. The training will be standardized, comprehensive and effective.
Family First Homecare team members represent the organization and its services in a competent, professional and responsive manner while maintaining standards of high-quality patient care and customer service in accordance with all state, local and federal requirements, rules and regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partners with the Director of Operations (DOO) in identifying, interviewing, and onboarding of Clinical Managers (CM) and Care Givers
The Director of Nursing may be required to serve in the absence of a Director of Nursing over another branch either in person or via telecommunications device when needed.
Provides leadership, training, guidance, and mentoring to the CM’s
Collaborates with the Family First leadership teams and the compliance committee in identifying, developing, and the delivery of consistent clinical information
Ensures that the competency program is followed and provides educational support for the clinicians as needed for skills development
Promotes employee engagement and retention
Participates in the development and review of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all State, Federal, and Accreditation standards
Oversees the quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) program for each assigned agency
Identifies clinical and quality metrics trends and ensures that appropriate corrective action is implemented.
Responsible for the coordination and oversight of all plans of correction and quality initiatives
Partners with the Director of Operations (DOO) to lead cohesive teams toward common goals
Assists management with the development and implementation of new products and services
Maintains professional, supportive, and responsive interpersonal communication skills
May be required to support mergers, acquisitions and integration projects.
Performs other duties as assigned
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
RN Nursing Degree. Unencumbered RN License in the state of employment or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact where recognized.
Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of supervision as an RN
Working knowledge of home care regulatory and federal requirements
Proven customer service skills, sound independent judgment, initiative and solid organization and time management skills required
Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite
