Senior Financial Planning Analyst

Walmart Advanced Systems & Robotics is a fast-growing venture on a mission to reinvent retail through robotics. We’ve partnered with Walmart to develop our Alphabot® technology, which is currently being deployed at stores throughout North America.

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team and play a key role in shaping the financial future of our robotic systems business. In this position, you will collaborate closely with our leadership, engineering, and operations teams to assess and strategize the financial aspects of our operations. Your efforts will be instrumental in driving informed decision-making and driving enhancements within the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON: 

• Develop and maintain the Annual Operating Plan and Team Forecast, with a focus on regular reforecasting to ensure agility in financial planning.
• Leverage your deep understanding of Bill of Materials to dissect cost structures and component intricacies within our robotic systems.
• Serve as the go-to expert for cost analysis, diligently investigating variances between projected and actual costs and proposing cost-reduction and profit-enhancing solutions.
• Collect, assess, and interpret financial data to shed light on our cost structures and financial performance.
• Generate comprehensive reports on a regular basis and as requested by management, delivering data-driven insights and recommendations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, with a preference for candidates who have experience in high-tech hardware development, manufacturing, or robotics.
• Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with financial software and tools, including the ability to construct reports within ERP systems.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial analysis.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Capable of collaborative work within cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of project management principles and best practices.
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; a master's degree is considered a plus.
