Director, Corporate Development and Strategy
The Director of Corporate Development & Strategy will be a key member of the global BioNTech corporate development & strategy team and will be based out of our US headquarters in Cambridge, MA. S/he will have a high-profile role and will gain firsthand strategic and operating experience while helping to build a premier biotechnology company. This high energy individual will wear many hats and will have the capacity to drive numerous complex projects forward simultaneously.
The areas of responsibilities will include:

Drive global corporate strategy efforts including setting franchise area strategy, identification of new growth opportunities, evaluation of build/buy/partner opportunities and other special projects as needed to advance our business.

Support pipeline programs through development of overall program strategy, contributing to Integrated Development Plans for programs, building and updating value creation models, conducting market analyses, performing competitive intelligence and providing analytical support for key program decisions.

Closely collaborate with business development, legal, commercial, and R&D teams to support programs, alliances, partnering efforts, and closing of transactions to support the overall business objectives.

Support portfolio prioritization efforts and align/plan resources appropriately.

Act as strategic thought partner to C-suite and BOD in the creation, refinement, articulation, and execution of BioNTech’s business and science strategy.

This role reports to the Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy in Cambridge, MA.
Requirements

BS/BA Degree with Scientific undergraduate training with 8 plus years of experience in biopharma industry, life science management consulting and/or comparable experience required.

Ability to drive the business forward through application of a deep understanding of the science and broad knowledge of drug development.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills with prior experience presenting to C-suite and BOD level professionals.

Collaborative attitude with strong relationship management skills, adept at working with many different disciplines both inside and outside of the company.

Strategic thinker with strong grasp of analytic tools and a track record of developing high impact insights.
