Research Associate II / Senior Research Associate, Immunology Platform and Applications

Position Summary:

As part of a newly formed Immunology platform and applications group, we are looking for an experienced Research Associate to take part to the advancement of our understanding of the eRNA platform technology and pioneering new applications in the field of immunology. In this role you will utilize a broad range of experimental techniques, including technical expertise in the field of immunology. You will perform in a dynamic environment requiring significant independence in designing and executing controlled experiments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting experimentation to unlock and harness eRNA immunological properties.
• Establishing proof-of-concept experiments to enable and advance novel immunological applications of eRNA across various disease areas.
• Using a wide array of techniques relevant to immunology, cellular and molecular biology.
• Designing and executing experimental plans, performing rigorous analysis and interpretation of experiments.
• Collaborating with relevant individuals and groups to advance projects; demonstrating good lab citizenship.
• Analyze/interpret results, to proactively troubleshoot protocols when required and to recommend modifications as needed.
• Read pertinent literature and to exhibit knowledge of molecular and cellular immunology, applying their knowledge to propose new ideas and solutions to technical challenges.
• Prepare oral presentations/posters and draft research reports.

Required Qualifications:

• M.S. degree in a life science area or B.S. degree, with 2 or more years of industry experience
• Broad and robust experience with in vitro and in vivo immunology techniques 
• Strong experience with cellular biology techniques such as primary cell isolation, culture and characterization by flow cytometry 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and proven track record of working efficiently and proactively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior research experience in industry settings
• Molecular biology techniques such as RNA isolation, qPCR, protein analysis 
• Experience with molecular techniques involving RNA isolation, manipulation and analysis (e.g., qPCR, gene expression profiling)
