About CNS

The James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) is one of the world’s largest nongovernmental organizations dedicated to research, training, and education on nonproliferation issues. We are especially interested in candidates who are enthusiastic about engaging younger generations—high school and college students—in disarmament and nonproliferation education.

This is a student Level B position paying $17.45 per hour.

Preferred Qualifications (Highly Desirable)

  • Experience in K–12 education (teaching, curriculum development, or educational outreach)
  • Familiarity with the U.S. education system (public and/or private high schools)
  • Experience coordinating events (administrative and logistical support)
    • Interest in nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction

Benefits

As a GRA, you will acquire on-the-job training with CNS experts and other leading scholars on nonproliferation issues. While contributing to ongoing projects GRAs are also allowed to pursue their own research in related fields. The position is renewable contingent upon satisfactory academic progress and job performance.
