Short Description

This role will support the Mobile Health Care Unit (MHCU) team by driving the MHCU to and from community-service sites across Camden City and Camden County.

 

In addition to driving, the driver will prepare the vehicle for transportation and assist with clinic set up, take down (benches, easy-up, etc), as well as refilling gas and water as needed.

 

Attach and detach MHCU trailer to vehicle and prepare for transport/return to parking as described in pre-trip and post-trip checklists 

 

Transport the MHCU to and from prescheduled sites using an approved Cooper vehicle  

 

Interact with community-partner staff regarding parking and logistics

 

Fill vehicle with gas and water, as well as coordinating with contractor agency responsible for emptying grey and black water tanks

 

Comfort interacting with potential patients/clients who may be unhoused or using substances

 

As needed assist with site set up and take down (putting out benches, easy-up, etc)

 

As needed inspect vehicle to ensure key components are functioning and alert project team to any issues

 

Clean exterior of vehicle as needed

 

Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality guidelines

 

Other tasks as assigned 

 

Experience Required

0-2 experience driving and towing 

 

3-5 preferred 

Education Requirements

High School Diploma

License/Certification Requirements

Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
