Join us at the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business as our next Program Manager and Administrative Support for an exciting new initiative integrating the strengths of Entrepreneurship@DU, the Bailey Program for Family Enterprise, Leadership in the Outdoor Recreation Industry, the Liniger Center for Franchising, and the Sales Leadership Center. This role is your opportunity to be on the leading edge of experiential and lifelong learning—connecting our college to the broader business community.

You’ll support a dynamic team of center directors and faculty by coordinating operational logistics, streamlining administrative processes, and helping to deliver innovative, values-driven programming for students, business leaders and the wider community. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, service-minded, highly collaborative—and energized by the opportunity to help build something new.

Essential Functions

Program Management

  • Support the planning and execution of workshops, peer forums, roundtables, speaker series and annual events such as the family business gala, annual sales event, and Entrepreneurship Week.
  • Coordinate logistics for events, including venue booking, parking, catering, technology, materials preparation, etc.
  • Represent Daniels professionally with faculty, guest speakers, donors and sponsors.
  • Manage the participant experience from registration to post-program follow-up.
  • Serve as a liaison for the Centers, including the Bailey Program members, managing membership records, processing dues, and ensuring members receive their full range of benefits.

Administrative Support

  • Manage scheduling of shared space, calendars and associated programs.
  • Manage scheduling and operations for a shared coworking and makerspace, coordinating internal calendars, recurring programs, and ad hoc reservations to ensure efficient and equitable space usage.
  • Oversee space inventory and supply management, including ordering and restocking materials for workshops, events, and daily operations across multiple rooms (coworking, sewing room, and makerspace).
  • Manage purchasing grant-funded supplies in alignment with program budgets and compliance requirements.
  • Supervise and support Teaching Assistants (TAs) working in the makerspace, providing onboarding, scheduling, and guidance to ensure safe and effective use of tools, equipment, and space.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and organization of the sewing room and other creative spaces to ensure functionality, cleanliness, and accessibility for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Handle billing, invoicing, and financial tracking in collaboration with the colleges finance department.
  • Maintain organized records of program activities, participant data, and operational documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to present information effectively, respond to questions and concerns immediately and facilitate satisfactory resolutions to problems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy. Must have the self-confidence and assertiveness to present and support conclusions to a variety of groups including high level administrators.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and work with all levels of staff across various departments.
  • Possess strong communication skills.
  • Proven track record in good customer satisfaction and service delivery commitment.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to develop processes, document processes and operationalize them.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years of experience in program, event, or project management.
  • Experience in education, learning & development, or workforce programming.
  • Budget management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in program, event, or project management.
