Weekend Industrial Maintenance Technician

Industrial Maintenance Technicians install, repair and maintain commercial or industrial machinery in buildings, a plant, or a manufacturing setting. These technicians ensure all machines function properly through troubleshooting and preventive maintenance service.

Shift: Daytime, weekends. Guaranteed 40 hours/weekend. May work four days/10 hour shifts or 3 days/12 hour shifts, depending on need.

Responsibilities:

• Read manuals to understand equipment and controls
• Disassemble machinery and equipment when it needs maintenance or repair
• Perform tests and operate machinery to ensure it functions properly
• Adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications
• Display mechanical understanding, providing root cause analysis
• Troubleshoot and diagnose 
• Fire and Life Safety Systems maintenance and repair
• Completes preventive and corrective work orders as assigned.
• Familiar with basic HVAC, electrical and plumbing including restroom fixture repair and replacements (Excluding any refrigerant work requiring EPA Universal Certification)
• Awareness of building automation responses and adjustments
• Ability to identify equipment defects by visual and/or audio inspection.
• Maintains equipment logs as directed.
• Performs other maintenance and repair duties as needed

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a maintenance position, preferably in an industrial/commercial environment
• Trade or Vocational Certification strongly preferred
• Ability to demonstrate root cause analytic ability
• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
• Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license
