Today, TuneCore is the leading independent development partner for self-releasing artists to build audiences and careers, with technology and services across distribution, publishing administration and a range of promotional services. TuneCore is headquartered in Brooklyn, NY, and owned by Paris-based Believe, one of the world’s leading digital music companies. The company is one of the fastest growing companies in the music industry and is actively investing in the continued growth of the business.

We have made it our mission to best serve artists and labels at each stage of their development in the digital world. We are a company that cares deeply about our people and our creator community, advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion across all of our platforms and throughout our business. The pursuit of innovation inspires us to work hard for our artists, while collaboration drives the way we work and approach our company’s social responsibility.

Job Description

TuneCore is looking for an Artist Relations Lead to join our team to drive strategic artist acquisition while supporting the company’s artist experience with creativity and innovation at the forefront of the role.

TuneCore’s Artist Relations team works directly with artists, DSP partners, and internal teams to deliver a best-in-class digital distribution experience. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying and bringing high-potential independent artists onto the TuneCore platform while ensuring our top accounts receive white-glove support throughout their lifecycle.

As an Artist Relations Lead, you will support A&R-driven artist acquisition efforts by proactively identifying, researching, and cultivating high-potential independent artists, managers, and partners aligned with TuneCore’s growth priorities. You will build and manage a qualified pipeline through industry networking, market analysis, DSP insights, live events, and social discovery—contributing to  the full lifecycle from prospecting to onboarding. You’ll confidently articulate TuneCore’s value proposition, lead commercial conversations, and close strategic deals that convert prospects into long-term, high-value partners.

In addition to growing the roster, you’ll provide highly personalized, omnichannel support to strategic accounts, guiding artists through their release lifecycle—from catalog upload and release day to sales reporting and performance. You’ll work cross-functionally to advocate for artist needs, deliver product feedback, and ensure clients have access to industry insights, monetization optimization through TuneCore’s Accelerator program, early access opportunities, and more.

To be successful in this role, you’ll be a seasoned music industry professional with experience in A&R, artist development, or business development, alongside a strong track record of client success. You’re commercially savvy, strategically minded, comfortable building relationships from the ground up, and willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done. Availability outside of regular business hours will be expected to support artists in executing their release strategies.

  • You will be in an artist-facing role that encompasses the following responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify, research, and cultivate high-potential independent artists, managers, and partners to drive new artist acquisition aligned with TuneCore’s strategic growth priorities.

  • Build, curate, and manage a qualified pipeline of artist leads through industry networking, DSP insights, market analysis, live events, social discovery, and inbound opportunities—owning the lifecycle from prospecting to onboarding.

  • Support  commercial conversations, articulate TuneCore’s value proposition, negotiate where appropriate, and close strategic deals that convert prospects into long-term TuneCore partners.

  • Provide highly personalized omni-channel support for a cohort of strategic TuneCore artist accounts to ensure seamless distribution experiences from start to finish.

  • Partner with Artist Support & Operations teams to optimize processes and resolve high-profile artist issues quickly and efficiently.

  • Participate in artist retention and brand-building activities within the music community alongside other members of the TuneCore team.
