Job Summary
The Clinical Educator – Therapist is a clinical professional who actively participates in designing, implementing, and overseeing therapeutic programs within a healthcare setting, often by conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, training other therapists, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the program effectively addresses specific patient needs and goals, while also contributing to ongoing program evaluation and improvement.
Essential Duties:
· Assist the Senior Clinical Services Director by Actively participating in the development of new therapeutic programs, including defining program goals, selecting interventions, and creating program structure and protocols.
· Develops orientation and educational goals and objectives set forth by the CEO and Director of Compliance to accomplish missions within the established parameters, goals and objectives.
· Reviews and updates new hire training to ensure clinical staff are prepared to work independently.
· Training and supervising other therapists on program implementation, ensuring fidelity to the program design and quality of care.
· Collecting and analyzing data to monitor patient progress, evaluate program effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement.
· Specialization in areas includes, mental health programs, developmental disabilities, pediatric therapy, and geriatric therapy.
· Provides clinical services orientation instruction, reeducation, competency, and refresher training to applicable staff.
· Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their needs, strengths, and areas for improvement, informing treatment plan development.
· Ensures therapist are designing individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating evidence-based practices and specific therapeutic interventions.
· Ensures therapists are providing direct therapeutic interventions to patients, including individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities based on program focus.
· Assists patients and caregivers with educational needs, problem resolution, and health management across the continuum of care.
· Working closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and other therapists, to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
· Ensures compliance with quality assurance, safety, infection control, and environmental procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
· Upholds the Organization's ethics and customer service standards.
· Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

Requirements
Job Requirements
Education and/or Licensure – Master's degree required. Licensed LPC, LMSW, LCSW authorized to practice in in the State of Texas. CPR and SAMA (or obtained within 30 days upon hire).
Experience – Three (3) years of progressively responsible full-time positions as a licensed clinical therapist. Three (3) years of acute psychiatric care experience desired. Must be 21 years old or older.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
· Knowledgeable of patient rights and laws pertaining to mental health and regulations pertaining to the treatment of the mentally and emotionally disturbed patients. Theories, principles, and techniques of group and individual psychotherapy. Symptoms and behavior patterns of emotionally disturbed mentally ill patients.
· Strong understanding of therapeutic interventions and evidence-based practices
· Ability to design and implement treatment plans, collect data, and analyze results
· Displays knowledge of treatment procedures; interventions common to acute psychotic as well as non-violent crises intervention practice, medical and psychiatric emergency procedures.
· Basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the child or adolescent psychiatric population, application of this knowledge to child, adolescent or adult knowledge of medical terminology, especially those terms associated with child, adolescent or adult psychiatric care; thorough familiarity of psychopharmacy and the use of psychotropic medications with child, adolescent or adult psychiatric population.
