Essential Duties and Qualifications
The Nurse Manager, LPN reports to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for directing and supervising overall resident care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs and supervises facility staff to maintain quality care of residents.
- Monitors and manages systems as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
- Completes assigned documentation and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Assumes duties of charge nurse as needed.
- Monitors staffing needs for resident care.
- Ensures supplies are available for resident needs.
- Follows up with concerns of residents/families, staff and visitors in absence of DON.
- Complies with all established policies and procedures.
- Promotes and demonstrates positive customer service towards VHS, co-workers, residents and visitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and holds current Virginia license.
- Experience/education in Gerontological Nursing required.
- Computer knowledge preferred.
- Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret information.
