This job supports and facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical strategies and interventions within innovationOchsner (iO) and operationalizes new programs that align with the organization’s strategy while providing supervision and leadership to iO’s clinical team members.

Education

Required - Master’s degree in nursing, PA-C, NP, medicine, or related field.

Preferred - Doctoral degree achieved or in progress.

Work Experience

Required - 5 years of clinical experience.

Preferred - 5 years of clinical experience, communicating between various specialties with 3 years of project management, executive presentation and influencing experience.

Certifications

Required - (LSBME) state license and (NCCPA) PA-C national certification,

OR

(LSBN) APRN state license,

OR

licensure with the pharmacy board in state of practice with a doctorate of pharmacy (PharmD) degree.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications and ability to share data.

  • Leadership skills and ability to collaborate and adapt to dynamic needs of the team to complete tasks in a reliable manner.

  • Organization and project management skills and ability to prioritize project activities, ensure deadlines are met, and address emails and other communications in timely manner.

  • Understanding of clinical operations and systems.

  • Analysis skills and ability to analyze data from innovation projects for publications and reporting.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop rapport with clinicians, patients and coworkers.

Job Duties

  • Leads clinical team to ensure alignment with organizational priorities, accuracy of projects and quality of deliverables.

  • Supervises clinical programs developed by iO, including creating and enforcing policies and procedures related to iO programs and evaluating program success.

  • Manages iO clinical team members, including directing priorities of, facilitating professional development of, and coaching existing team members, as well as recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training new staff members to team.

  • Builds and maintains relationships between iO and outside stakeholders to facilitate success of new programs and projects.

  • Supports innovation work of iO and clinical transformation leadership, including design, implementation and evaluation of care delivery models and research projects.

  • Serves as liaison to clinical and administrative stakeholders as needed for clinical transformation and innovation projects.

  • Participates in writing of abstracts, posters and publications regarding innovation initiatives.   

  • Provides and/or supports provision of patient care for innovation initiatives.

  • Performs other related duties as required.
