Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.</span></p><p></p><b><span>Your New Role…</span></b><p>The Senior Accounting Manager, EMEA Studios will be a member of the EMEA Studios Accounting Controllership team based in Warsaw, Poland. The Accounting Controllers Team is responsible for monthly and quarterly US GAAP reporting, preparing the statutory financial statements (in numerous GAAPs), managing the local statutory audits, review of account reconciliations and support for global financial reporting processes. Everyday responsibilities include ensuring compliance during audits, as well as with SEC and SOX guidelines. The Team closely cooperates with other relevant stakeholders, including the tax team, GBS, as well as external vendors. The EMEA Accounting Controllership Team is responsible for multiple countries from the Studios segment in the region, including UK, Germany, France, Poland, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Spain and more.</p><p>In this role, you must have a solid understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP, allowing you to identify, propose and decide on the accounting treatment for complex transactions. You will be a partner to multiple stakeholders, internal and external, you will be a self-starter and should be able to work well without immediate supervision. <span>You will manage 1-2 team members either directly or indirectly</span> This position will report to Senior Accounting Director.</p><p></p><p><b><span>Your Role Accountabilities…</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Manage and own assigned tasks and processes within accounting area applying IFRS/US GAAP + relevant local GAAP expertise, including statutory financial statements preparation and review. (French GAAP)</p></li><li><p>Review complex financial reporting transactions, provide guidance to your stakeholders and coordinate technical accounting research to determine proper recognition in line with regulations and company policies.</p></li><li><p>Be a hands-on leader managing a team of 1-2 Senior Accountants, <span>either directly or indirectly,</span> including their day-to-day activities, deliverables, issue management, as well as holidays and career path.</p></li><li><p>Drive and manage improvements and develop automation of daily/monthly standard tasks accounting processes and workflows.</p></li><li><p>Manage internal and external audit work (Sox testing, maintenance and updating of internal controls, Financial Compliance processes).</p></li><li><p>Prepare/Review periodical management reports, BS Flux and SEC schedules, reconciliations including applicable regular analyses and metrics as well as ad hoc reporting.</p></li><li><p>Lead cross department meetings, document and track action items. Propose solutions. Escalate issues as appropriate.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Qualifications & Experience…</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Master’s degree in accounting or finance and at least 8 years of accounting/auditing experience in international environment.</p></li><li><p>French language is necessary</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of media / entertainment industry are considered an advantage.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of IFRS and/or US GAAP is a must. Practical end-to-end understanding of reporting impact of accounted transactions is necessary to succeed in this role.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of any of the following country-specific financial reporting jurisdictions is considered as an advantage: UK, German, French, Polish, Spanish and Nordic countries’ GAAPs.</p></li><li><p>Proficient and experienced in MS Office applications, Excel in particular is a must</p></li><li><p>Experience with enterprise information systems, (SAP) a strong plus and preferred.</p></li><li><p>Results oriented, strong attention to details, accuracy, timeliness, ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks is a must.</p></li><li><p>Presentation skills, status reporting, issue flagging, public speaking and exposition of prepared analysis and its implications.
