Junior Data Εngineer

Sleed, a 360 digital marketing agency with more than 10 years of field experience and a strategic partner of Google & Facebook, is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to work with our Data and Analytics team to support a plethora of companies designing and producing meaningful insight-generation strategies that drive decision-making in marketing and business.

You will be involved in the full cycle of managing, and converting raw data into information that can be interpreted by data analysts. Your dedication to providing an innovative and pragmatic approach to challenges will be your key to success in the role.

Key Responsibilities

The skills and expertise that will be required to carry out everyday responsibilities are a mix of analytics, technology and business, with solid knowledge of how things work in the digital ecosystem.

• Discover KPIs and metrics that help facilitate business decisions
• Develop Extract Transform Load(ETL) operations
• Building data architectures that meet the business requirements
• Develop API/jobs for data processing and cleaning
• Explore and research various new methods to obtain data and improve its quality

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position is a person who is passionate and curious about data analysis. Reliability, teamwork, willingness to learn and creativity are essential to fit in our team, so we are looking for these characteristics in a lot of ways.

As for the hard skills, we have some must-haves that will be needed for the future.

• Comfortable with Big Data Programming Languages preferably Python and Data Science Python Libraries like pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Basic understanding of ETL processes
• Basic knowledge of cloud warehouses
• Being able to present a case where you had involvement with at least one of the above, will be an extra asset.

Nice to have:

• A basic understanding of what is Google Analytics
