The Role at a Glance
We are excited to bring on a Director, Agile Product Manager to Workplace Solutions Customer Experience, Marketing and Transformation Organization to work in remote or hybrid/office.
We are hiring for an exciting opportunity to be part of Workplace Solution’s agile transformation journey. In this role you will be responsible for representing Group Protection’s Underwriting organization as an Agile Product Manager in our evolving agile execution and delivery operating model. You will be at the forefront of value delivery, partnering with business stakeholders and senior leadership developing a product vision and multi-year delivery roadmap. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring that we are delivering value to the business that aligns to our strategic pillars and our short- and long-term organizational goals. You will be empowered to make prioritization decisions on strategic initiatives that directly impact business outcomes through quarterly planning. You will be in a people leadership role leading agile product owners and business analysts aligned to 4 agile delivery teams for the Underwriting value stream.
What you'll be doing
- Provides input to the Underwriting Portfolio Owner to inform strategic vision, mission, and objectives
- Defines quarterly OKRs and develops QPRs in collaboration with the Underwriting Portfolio Owner and Leadership Triad for the Portfolio/Value Stream
- Partners with Underwriting Portfolio Owner and Org Readiness Lead to generate stakeholder buy-in and operational readiness
- Assesses value, prioritizes epics and features to ensure proper alignment with organizational strategy
- Balances stakeholder priorities and development team(s) capacity to aid in achievable roadmap(s) and delivery targets
- Works with other Product Managers on cross-portfolio / cross-value stream dependencies
- Partners with the Product Owner(s) to determine the Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
- Prioritizes and sequences features on the product backlog according to business value
- Maintains 12-18-month roadmap for the Portfolio
- Monitors performance of product and features against Measures of Success; regularly review with Portfolio Owner, including VOC
What we’re looking for
Must-haves:
- 7+ Years of experience in customer engagement, relationship, and/or customer experience including 3+ years of managerial, supervisory and/or demonstrated leadership experience
- 4 Year/bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
- Working knowledge of Agile methodology
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches
- Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, retain, develop, and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills
- Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior management, colleagues, and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding
