Morning Operations Assistant - Food production and warehousing

Here at our Ferntree Gully depot we are looking to welcome a positive, energetic person to our fun and welcoming Morning Operations Team.

Our day team operates on a Monday to Friday roster from 3am to 3pm. Work 2-5 shifts per week with a shift length of 3-6 hours, with some flexibility available to support work-life balance. Longer shifts will be available to those showing commitment and reliability.

You have a strong understanding of correct food handling procedures with a 'Safety First' approach always, the ability to learn quickly and work independently, while being a dedicated team player. Experience in warehousing also beneficial.

Please note;

• Payrate listed is for an adult 21+ years old and will be less for younger applicants
• Due to the variety and volumes of our products, candidates should be aware that working with certain food products, e.g. meats, dairy or gluten-based items is a requirement of this role

The role involves...

• Food safety
• Loading vans with food and ice
• Product labelling
• Working with machinery
• Packing
• Food preparation and assembly/production line work
• Cold Room picking - you must be comfortable to work in this environment (3-8 degrees)
• Stock handling and rotation

The role requirements…

To be successful in the role, you can offer the following;

• Competently (and without assistance) lift 15 - 25kg frequently
• Work in a cool room environment (below 3-8 degrees)
• Physically capable of bending, lifting, twisting, stretching and reaching forward frequently
• Perform repetitive work while adhering to quality and safety standards
• Using equipment and tools, as well as operating machinery for preparation and processing (able to operate or exposure to packing machinery an advantage)
• Stand in one place for long periods of time
• Maintaining and cleaning equipment and facilities
• Reliable and available to work a minimum 2-5 shifts per week between the hours of 3am - 3pm
• Great communication, team player and ‘can do’ attitude
