Director, Operations

Multi-Site Manufacturing Leadership | ~$1B | Remote 

 

Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) is seeking a Director of Operations to lead a multi-site manufacturing network within one of our core segments.  This is not a turnaround. It is an opportunity to elevate an already strong business, strengthening plant leadership, unifying performance across sites, and driving disciplined cost improvement within a mature operating system.  This role offers significant executive visibility and long-term succession opportunity within a high-performing division.

 

Remote-based with ~30% travel.

What You’ll Lead

• Develop and coach a network of Plant Managers, strengthening leadership capability and alignment across sites.

• Drive measurable results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

• Advance and refine Carlisle Operating System (COS) practices — MDI, TPM, kaizen, best practice sharing.

• Break down plant silos and build a cohesive division that wins as one team.

• Lead hard cost discipline and sustainable margin expansion initiatives.

• Partner cross-functionally to align manufacturing capability with strategic growth plans.

• Champion annual operating and capital planning efforts.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven multi-site manufacturing leadership experience.

• Strong track record developing plant leaders and building high-performing teams.

• Deep understanding of Lean and operational excellence systems.

• P&L fluency and demonstrated cost-out results in complex manufacturing environments.

• A collaborative, trusted leader who drives accountability without creating disruption.

Required: Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years progressive operations leadership within manufacturing.
Preferred: Engineering or technical discipline; acquisition integration experience.
